No. There is no setup fee. Onboarding, data migration assistance and staff training are included in your subscription at no extra charge.

Does StayDesk support Aadhaar OTP check-in?

Yes. StayDesk integrates with UIDAI's official Aadhaar OTP API. A guest's identity can be verified in under 30 seconds — no paper copies required. This is legally compliant under the Aadhaar Act 2016, which prohibits hotels from collecting physical Aadhaar copies.

Does StayDesk handle GST billing automatically?

Yes. StayDesk automatically applies the correct GST slab (0%, 12% or 18%) based on your declared room tariff. SAC code 9963 is pre-filled. GST invoices are generated instantly at checkout and monthly GST reports are available for filing.

StayDesk's channel manager supports MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, Booking.com, EaseMyTrip, Agoda, Yatra, Airbnb and 50+ other OTAs. Room availability and rates are updated across all channels in real time — preventing overbookings.

Does StayDesk support C-Form for foreign guests?

Yes. StayDesk identifies foreign national guests at check-in, prompts staff to enter passport details, pre-fills the C-Form and sends reminders if the form is not submitted within 12 hours of arrival. The 24-hour submission deadline required under the Foreigners Act 1946 is enforced automatically.

Does StayDesk have a restaurant / POS module?

Yes. StayDesk includes a digital KOT (Kitchen Order Ticket) system. Orders are sent to the kitchen instantly from a phone or tablet. Charges are automatically posted to the guest's room folio with correct GST applied.

Can StayDesk send WhatsApp messages to guests?

Yes. StayDesk sends automated WhatsApp messages for booking confirmations, check-in reminders, GST invoices and review requests. This is done via the WhatsApp Business API with pre-approved message templates.

What happens if the internet goes down at my property?

StayDesk requires an internet connection to operate. We recommend keeping a mobile hotspot as backup. For offline check-in in emergencies, guest details can be noted on paper and entered when connectivity resumes.

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). StayDesk is hosted on AWS infrastructure in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region — your data stays in India. We maintain daily backups with 30-day retention.

Yes. StayDesk is designed to comply with Indian data protection requirements. Aadhaar data is processed exclusively via UIDAI's official API and is never stored on our servers — only the verified result (name, DOB, address) is recorded.
