What hardware do I need for the digital KOT system?
No special hardware is required. StayDesk works on any Android or iOS phone or tablet. For the kitchen, you can use a tablet with the StayDesk kitchen display screen, or connect to any kitchen printer via the system.
What GST rate applies to hotel restaurant orders?
Non-AC restaurant: 5% GST (SAC 9964). AC restaurant: 18% GST (SAC 9964). In-room dining: 18% GST when room tariff exceeds ₹7,500. StayDesk applies the correct rate based on your restaurant setup.
Can restaurant charges be billed separately from room charges?
Yes. Restaurant charges can be posted to the room folio (combined checkout) or billed separately with their own GST invoice. The setting is configurable per order.
