Do housekeeping staff need a special device?

No. Housekeeping staff use any Android phone to access StayDesk. No app installation is needed — it works in the mobile browser. Each staff member gets a separate login with housekeeping-only access.

Can the supervisor inspect a room before it is marked ready?

Yes. StayDesk supports a two-step housekeeping workflow: staff marks a room as "Cleaned", then a supervisor inspects and marks it "Ready". The front desk can only assign rooms marked "Ready" by a supervisor.

Does StayDesk track minibar usage and room damage reports?

Yes. Housekeeping staff can log minibar consumption and report room damages during the cleaning process. Charges are automatically posted to the guest's folio.
